Storage Terms
These terms cover your bin, stock intake, counts and our liability for stock. They are part of the shyp terms.
1. Your bin
A bin is a fixed volume of shelf space in a shyp hub, set out in your service agreement. It is for your fast movers: the products that sell every day. Your bulk and slow-moving stock stays at your own warehouse.
- Your stock stays in your own bin, apart from the stock of other merchants.
- Only the shyp hub team can open your bin or enter the stock room.
- Bins start at ₱2,500 a month, plus 12% VAT, billed monthly in advance. Larger bins and fees are on the rate card.
- A bin has a three-month minimum term.
2. Sending us stock
You deliver stock to the hub at your cost, at any time during operating hours (daily, 8am to 8pm), with no notice needed. Every item must carry a barcode, and each delivery comes with a list of the items and quantities in it.
We count and scan every item when it arrives and record it in the shyp merchant app. If what arrives does not match your list, we tell you the same day, and our count is what we hold you to have sent unless you show otherwise.
3. Goods we do not store
We do not store hazardous or flammable goods (such as aerosols, chemicals, flammable liquids and loose batteries), illegal or counterfeit goods, or firearms and weapons. If such goods reach the hub, we may refuse them, return them to you at your cost, or hand them to the authorities where the law requires.
You confirm that you own the stock you send us or have the right to sell it, and that it is safe, lawful and correctly described.
4. Counts and records
We scan each item when it comes in, when we pick it and when it comes back, and we count your bin every week. Your stock levels are in the shyp merchant app at all times.
If a weekly count does not match our records, we investigate and tell you what we found. Raise any discrepancy you see within 14 days of the count that shows it.
5. Security
The hub stock room is locked, and cameras record each shelf day and night. We keep camera footage for the retention period you opt into in your service agreement.
6. Loss and damage
If items are lost or damaged while in our care, we pay you their cost price. Our stock insurance backs this. We may ask for proof of cost, such as a supplier invoice. What we pay for any one claim is limited to what our stock insurance pays for it.
We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by the nature of the goods, events beyond our reasonable control, or information you gave us that was wrong.
7. Ending storage
After the minimum term, either of us may end storage with 30 days’ written notice. When storage ends, you own your stock and we return it: you collect it, or we deliver it to an address in Metro Manila at the rate-card fee, within 14 days of the end date.
Stock that is not collected within those 14 days keeps being charged at your bin rate. We may also hold your stock while fees are overdue. If stock stays uncollected, or fees stay unpaid, for 60 days after we give you written notice, we may sell or dispose of the stock and use any proceeds to pay what you owe, returning anything left over to you.
8. How these terms fit together
These terms form part of your service agreement with shyp, together with the other shyp service terms that apply to the services you use and the rate card. If they conflict, your signed service agreement wins, then these terms, then the rate card.
9. Changes
We publish any change to these terms on this page and tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not accept a change, you may end your service agreement before it takes effect without paying for the rest of the minimum term.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. The courts of Makati City hear any dispute about them.
