Returns Terms
These terms cover returns at the hub counter, returns by courier, the checks we make and the return rules you set. They are part of the shyp terms.
1. Where returns are accepted
- Orders delivered inside the 3 km radius: the buyer brings the return to the hub counter. Our riders do not collect returns.
- Orders shipped by courier outside the radius: the buyer sends the return to the hub by courier, at the cost your return rules set.
2. The check
Our team counts the items, compares them with the order and takes photos: at the counter with the buyer there, or when a courier return arrives. We share the photos and our findings with you.
3. Your return rules
You give us your return rules, in the shyp merchant app or in writing, such as the return window, the condition items must be in, and which products cannot be returned. We apply your rules at the counter. Your rules must comply with the law and with the rules of the sales platforms you sell on.
- A return that meets your rules goes back in your bin, and we update your stock.
- A return that fails your rules at the counter goes back home with the buyer, so you pay for no return trip. A courier return that fails your rules is held for you, and we ask how you want it handled.
- If we cannot tell, we hold the item and ask you to decide within 2 working days. If you do not, we apply your default rule.
4. Refunds and disputes
You decide and pay any refund to your buyer, through the sales platform or directly. If a buyer or platform disputes a return, we give you our photos and findings to support your case.
5. Fees
Return handling fees, if any, are on the rate card.
6. How these terms fit together
These terms form part of your service agreement with shyp, together with the other shyp service terms that apply to the services you use and the rate card. If they conflict, your signed service agreement wins, then these terms, then the rate card.
7. Changes
We publish any change to these terms on this page and tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not accept a change, you may end your service agreement before it takes effect without paying for the rest of the minimum term.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. The courts of Makati City hear any dispute about them.
